In the fall of 2019, the Elizabethtown College Study Abroad Office added 14 additional countries to their list of affiliated programs. Students now receive the benefits of an Etown affiliation if they choose to study in China, India, Indonesia, South Korea, and Vietnam.

Shanghai, China: API Study Abroad, East China Normal University
This program allows students interested in Chinese language and culture to study these topics at one of the most prestigious universities in China. Students can take Mandarin Chinese classes at any level that suits their learning, and they may also choose from a variety of courses on Chinese history, culture, philosophy, and more. Students participate in many excursions included in the program fee, including trips to Beijing, Hangzhou, and Suzhou, and local excursions to landmarks and sites within Shanghai.
Pune, India: ISEP, Symbiosis International University
Ranked among India’s top universities, Symbiosis offers courses in a variety of subject areas, including business, communications, criminal justice, and the humanities. Additionally, the management, law, and media programs here consistently receive international recognition. Students there originate from places around the world, making it a diverse and dynamic environment where study abroad participants can meet fellow students from all parts of India and the world.
Denpasar, Indonesia: ISEP, Udayana University
Studying in this program allows students all of the benefits of visiting Bali – beaches, surfing, diving, and more – as well as strong academics and cultural experiences. This program is a great choice for students looking to expand their global knowledge and global citizenship, as courses focus upon topics like tourism and trade in Asia, in addition to Indonesian language classes. Indonesia is an uncommon study abroad destination for American students, so an experience here will be unique!
Seoul, South Korea: CIS Abroad, Sogang University
Sogang University is one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea, accepting students from the top 1% of their classes. Study abroad students in this program will find a stimulating and rewarding experience among a dedicated, relatively small student body. The beautiful campus offers easy access to athletic facilities and cultural clubs and experiences. Local activities available to students include festivals, parks, and art galleries. Bonus: Seoul has the world’s fastest internet connection!
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: ISEP, Vietnam National University
This university offers an exciting experience to English-speaking students, with courses from a variety of disciplines, from food technology to biochemistry to civil engineering. A variety of partner programs with international universities means that students come from around the world – study abroad students here will be in good company.
